Blueberry Cookies

"We thoroughly enjoyed blueberry picking yesterday, and we ate and baked blueberries all day! I think my boys ate an entire gallon, and my toddler's diaper is completely blue this morning..."

Combine in small bowl:
2 C. flour
2 t. baking powder
½ t. salt

Cream in large bowl:
½ C. softened butter
1 C. sugar

Beat into creamed sugar:
1 large egg

Then beat in:
¼ C. milk
1 t. almond extract
1 ½ t. lemon zest, grated

Gradually blend dry ingredients into creamed mixture.

Fold in:
1 C. blueberries

Cover and chill in refrigerator 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Drop dough by spoonfuls about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 12-15 minutes, until pale golden

Transfer to wire racks to cool.
